I have a client that is installed on a machine that is a windows machine in a different domain than the server. I have the MQSERVER environment variable set. Whenever the client tries to connect they recieve 2058 MQRC_Q_MGR_NAME_ERROR.

I am suspicus of security but can find nothing to support this. I have done nothing to the default security.

I have configured the client within the servers domain many times. This one has me stumped.

Security problems would give you a 2035. A 2058 means the QM name is wrong on the MQCONN call. What is the QM name? What is the app coding for the MQCONN call? Does amqscnxc work?

Thanks for the information. The issue turned out to be with DNS.
