MQSeries v5.3, fixpack 7 on W2K

I'm testing out the MS0L support pac (Linear Logfile Maintenance in Java and Korn Shell) using the Java app. There are 126 logs but the program doesn't archive anything. In event viewer, the latest message states "the oldest log file required to perform media recovery of queue manager TESTQM2 is S0000000.LOG" The other message states "the oldest log file require to start queue manager TESTQM2 is S0000121.LOG." Does anyone know why the app doesn't archive any of the logs?

Because ALL your log files are required to perform media recovery. They can't be archived until MQ indicates they are no longer needed.

Before running the archive utility (java) make sure you run (from memory)
Code:
rcdmqimg -ll -m qmgr -t all *

In Unix escape your "*" : \*

This will create a new restart / recovery point. You should then be able to archive old files
