Hi,

The closest OS supported by WebSphere MQ is Linux. Although, I believe the WMQ client will run on Mac OS X.

Regards,

Click here for the list of MQ supported operating platforms

Have you searched the FreeBSD website for Messaging APIs, like JMS ?

Look around on the WillowTech website.

The Java MQ client would presumably work anywhere that a JVM runs.

Roger -
Which WMQ client? I'd be... surprised... if the regular MQ client ran.

On the other hand, I know for a fact that the Java client does run.

Prepare to be surprised:

AppleMacOS (from Willow Technology) is the first entry in the table.

Oh. That.

That doesn't count.

If you actually go to Willow's page, you will see that what they refer to as Apple Mac OS is Mac OS version 7, and the client they supply is a version 2.x client, not a version 5.x client. This is so far removed from being useful that you can't even see "useless" from there.

On the other hand, it is possible that the FreeBSD version they supply might work on OS X. If they had one that ran on PowerPC hardware, like some AIX boxes, instead of Intel hardware.
