Hi,

WMQ V5.3 CSD6 Windows 2003 server
WBIBM V5.0.1 fixpack 3
DB2 V8.1 fixpack 2 (and tried fixpack 5 as well)

Trying to create a configuration manager as follows:

mqsicreateconfigmgr -i ANTS\wbimb -a <password> -q FMCMRD01 -n CMRDB2 -u cfmgr -p <password> -d "" -l 2

The command creates a configuration manager and returns with the message BIP8071I: successfull command completion, check the system log to ensure the components started without problem. When I check the event log there is the following error message:

( ConfigMgr ) Missing or blank configuration repository JDBC driver name.

The configuration repository JDBC driver name supplied to the Configuration Manager is either blank or is missing. This is a mandatory property of the Configuration Manager.

This is an internal error. Contact your IBM support center.

I am not able to connect to the configuration manager using the toolkit, whenever I try, an error message comes up (configuration manager is not available)

Process bipservice is running, and <DB2 HIME>\SQLLIB\java\db2java.zip is in CLASSPATH.

Thanks in a dvance

Your ANTS/wbimb user does not have the necessary permissions on the local machine.

It *must* be a member of Administrators, or a member of Domain Administrators.

You are absolutely right. I just forgot to add it to the administrators group, but the error message is a long distance from the actual problem !!!!. Thanks a lot you are a STAR.

I got bit by this error message myself.

When you hit your head against it for a week or so... you tend not to forget it!
