Hi ,

I installed MQ Series Server 5.3.0.1 and then applied CSD 7 on a Windows m/c . The installation went fine. I did a custom install, where I selected Java Messaging also to be installed.

after the installation, when I went in to "First steps" and tried to launch the JMS PostCard application, I received the following error:

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/ibm/mq/jms/servic
es/Trace
at com.ibm.mq.jms.postcard.JmsPcManager.main(JmsPcManager.java:144)
The Java virtual machine has returned 1
Press any key to continue . . .

My Class path is pointing to the following libs:

C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ\Java\lib\providerutil.jar;
C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ\Java\lib\com.ibm.mqjms.jar;
C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ\Java\lib\ldap.jar;
C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ\Java\lib\jta.jar;
C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ\Java\lib\jndi.jar;
C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ\Java\lib\jms.jar;
C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ\Java\lib\connector.jar;
C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ\Java\lib\fscontext.jar;
C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ\Java\lib\com.ibm.mq.jar;

Help !!

Thanks
Apsy

Take a look at the manual again. You don't have all your variables set.
And on Windows, a reboot is always a good idea to make sure all your settings take.
