Anyone looking for a replacement workflow design tool that produces FDLs will be in for a disappointment. Just take a look at what Modeler 5.1 does not do (taken from product documentation):

My Opinion:
Modeler 5.1 is not an "FDL" or "BPEL" generator replacement like the old Modeler. You should view it as a Business Analysts tool only.
For MQWF I would recommend you stay with Modeler 4.2.4 and Buildtime. For WPC, you will not be able to avoid usint the WPC Modeler, so from the development side of things I would think you only use the Process Editor and leave Modeler 5.1 to the Business Analyst _________________ John McDonald

This is a real shame, I expected the functionality to be a superset of 4.2.4. |
