Do you have to add the SOAP Envelope/Body etc when doing a HTTPRequest to a web service?

I was tracing what MQSI v5 puts on the wire and it only includes the XML Message, but none of the SOAP elements.

Yes, the HTTPRequest node just does the HTTP part, it's upto the developer to encode the message correctly.

Look at support pac IA81. John Jones from IBM set up all that I think would think you need to handle the envelope. I have not played with this yet, but I'd be checking this out for sure in the future. Get his presentation from 2004 MQ Confernence if possible to help. I can send the PDF for that to you if you are interested.

Sound advice from Paul - IA81 is the place to look.

Remember that the HTTP nodes are exactly that - they deal with the HTTP transport protocol. Whether you choose to use them for Web Services and flow SOAP messages through them is entirely up to you.
