From AIX 5 MQSI 2.1 CSD4+ broker, has anyone connected directly to a MS SQL server 2000 database on NT? e.g. from within compute node to create database table entries. How was this achieved?

MQSI 2.1 comes with AIX merant drivers for Oracle and access to Oracle 8/9 (the std DB here) across AIX/NT is no issue owing to SQL.net etc. Here we've hit this roadblock, prefer not to buy additional AIX driver software but prefer config say within Oracle <-> SQL server.

I don't believe there are AIX drivers for SQLServer.

So if you have some way of connecting your Oracle database to SQLServer as some sort of ODBC proxy or something, then use that.

If not, you probably can't connect to SQLServer from AIX with WBIMB or WMQI.

Try contacting DataDirect and see if they have any driver for SQL server on UNIX platform.
