Hi ,
Is it good to keep the channels always up and running or to start the channels when ever a message comes on to the XMIT queue?
Thanks

I have never come across a channel where it's set to "always running". It's good practice to setup triggering on xmit queues to start channels. _________________ Kiran

I'm using both continously running channels and triggered channels.
It all depends on how time critical the applications are, it takes 1-2 secs depending on the bandwidth and security requirements to start the channels.... All SENDER channels are triggered.
When we're using continous running channels it requires a stable network, and automatic to start/stop the channels.
Generally I'm using disconnecting channels when dealing with clusters.
