Hello,
I am using java client jars to connect to command server queue on MQServer on W2K. The reply mesage is full of unmeaningful characters.
Client java program is on the same W2K with MQServer.
I can use the same client java program to connect to command server on MVS. On this platform, there is no problem.
What can be the problem.
mvs mq ccsid: 500
w2k ccsid : 437
Thanks,
Emre KUNT |

Yes and no. (Yes, if you have the time and waits for version 6 of WebSphere MQ, which have included PCF commands). This info was given by IBM at the T&M in Las Vegas in june.
The major difference between z/OS and distributed MQ, is that Z/OS only accepts MQSC commands in clear text like "DISPLAY QUEUE(*)".
And the reply is also in clear text.
It's no big problem to write som java code that is able to do the trick.
