Hi,
I wanna create a new broker on my platoform by executing mqsicreatebroker command. When i executed the command, it's running always and just gave me 'queue manager has been started' message. It can not be terminated except i stop it forcely(ctrl + c).
My enviroment is:
1. AIX5.2 64bit mode
2. IBM db2 8.1(fix pack 2)
I checked the result after terminating the command. The broker has been created, it can be showed by mqsilist. But there are not any tables created in the database.
has anyone encounterd this problem?
Thanks! |

Are there errors listed in your system log?
Does the user running the mqsicreatebroker command have the necessary security permissions?
Does the user that you are passing in to mqsicreatebroker for the broker to use as a database user have the necessary security permissions?
Seriously, Double Check these.
What fix pack are you running at for WBIMB? Are you sure that your FP2 is a supported level of DB2 for the version of WBIMB you're trying to use? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Did you install 32-bit DB2 or 64 bit DB2? |

I used mqm user as my broker user, I've added it into mqbrkrs, mqm and root group. I think it has full enough permissions for its operations.
About database user, i used db2inst1 user which is administrator user of db2.
Could you tell me which documents i can get some useful information about security?
AIX machine is running in 64bit mode, but DB2 is runned as 32bit mode.
Does this enviroment influence the creating of broker?
Thanks! |

Have you tested the ODBC connection. Also look at this document which provides more information about configuration and security of broker.
