I had this question from one of our developers.

1) Will there be a scenario where an user (P1) can see the Workitem of another user(P2), and was unable to transfer that Workitem to him (i.e P1 tries to transfer Workitem from P2 to P1, and when he click on transfer he gets the message "Not Authorized")?

2) If "yes", what type of definitions the persons might have?

As far as my knowledge is considered, If P1 has authorization of Workitems of P2, he can see the Workitems of P1, and also he can transfer them and work on them directly. I am asking this question because I remeber I saw (long time ago when I was using WF 332) similar behavior as above question, where I can see other people Workitem, and when I did the transfer I got "Not Authorized" message.

Please share your ideas.

Thanks in Advance

CHF:

We have P1 who is authorized to P2. In all circumstances P1 should be able to transfer to P2. Whether or not P2 can trasfer to P1 would be determined by P2's authorizations.

If you see otherwise, I would say it is most likely a bug.

I should have look at that FDL first before I post the question. Actually FDL is very much fine, P1 has access to the Workitems of P2. He is getting that "Not Authorized" message when he logs in as P2 and tries to transfer Workitems to P1, in which he must get that "Not Authorized" message. Before I was guessing that he logged in as P1 and getting that message.

Anyways, Thanks for your time.
