Hi
For one of our client requirement we need to implement MQ-FTP interface. here is the scenarion
System A is having MQ , System B (External) can recieve files only through FTP. we need to provide an interface between these systems with alert mechanism built in
with the info from this site and our analysis we think it can be done either by
1) bespoke development using FTP APIS and building a MQFTP adapter
(iNet Factory 6.1 - http://www.jscape.com/inetfactory/index.html?source=google
open source - http://jakarta.apache.org/commons/net/apidocs/overview-summary.html)
or
2) buy approach - using off the shelf products from
i)XPressFTP - http://www.isisworks.net/
ii)SPAZIO FTOM / FTFI - Primeur Group
iii)CommerceQuest’s Data Integrator 4.0 - www.commercequest.com
Pls let me know which will be the best and cost effective approach, If you have better suggestions pls let me know

We can't really determine the most cost effective solution for you, since we don't know your general costs or available budget.
There's a third way to do this, which is to isolate the FTP from the MQ through an intervening mechanism - a file or a database. Then you can use a more standard, stand-alone FTP product to handle that part of it.
But that may not be the most cost effective in terms of support, or reliability. You end up needing a more expensive monitoring system, that can track the data through the queue, the intervening mechanism, and the FTP process.
But if you already have a centralized FTP exchange system, that you are looking to integrate with, this may make sense.

I think even though there is a third option, but it will end up in more spending. leaving cost apart which one of the options will be the best one
if we need to go with the off the shelf products, what is the one you recommend

I haven't used any of them, so I wouldn't feel it proper to recommend one.
