Do you have to use MQ AMI services and policies when using DB2 XML Extender functionality, or can you just simply specify a queue name in the DSSMQREAD parameters to read from a queue and insert into a table?
Thanks,

I don't know anything about the DB2 XML extender, but I can tell you that one of the messages that came out of the T&M conference was to avoid using the AMI. |

good to see this 'confirmation', AMI's future has been doubtful for a number of years now. I presume CMI is 'dead' aswell? _________________ Michael

Actually that was announced in Last year's T&M conference. I believe IBM is no longer supporting AMI.
Michael, I never saw CMI released officially. I know they did a technical preview sometime in 2002. I believe the product was dropped completly. _________________ Kiran
