I know that WBIMB does not allow this option from standard nodes; has anyone of you developed a custom plugin for this scope? Can you share your thoughs and experience about it?

...I'm interested in developing my solution without paying for it...
I don't think Primeur (that is an IBM Business Partner) will give me access to their products for free...
Any 'handmade' solution?
Cheers,

I did a 2.1 Java plug-in to do this, and ran it in production.
It's relatively straight forward. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

There is a file input node sample in the Redbook, WMQI 2.1 deployment and migration.
A simple node is not too hard, having seen the features in Primeur FE product - there are many issues that need addressing to provide an absolutely rock-solid, transaction safe, assured delivery capable design.
I can't follow the logic of paying for WMQI and then saying that a major extension to it's function should be free. Why not write your own message broker entirely if that's your view? |

...it's not MY view, it's my customer's one!
They are not willing to pay any extra EURO, they prefer to develop it internally, with their resources but with IBM support (and this is my role).
Alternatively, they will use the broker for other functions and a standalone java application (or a contained J2EE one) to manage the 'file part' of the project.
Anyway, I found some good samples of file plugins internally in IBM and I will build over them.
Thanks for your feedbacks.
Cheers,

Can you post the website for these sample file plugins?

Unless you have access to the IBM intranet that won't help you... _________________ Michael

Lisa,
I'm sorry but I have to confirm what Michael says: internal resources means intranet websites and collegues' shared experiences.
These sample are not supposed to be shared outside IBM.
