Document says the dead letter queue is a local queue.
But the system doesn't really crib when I create a dead letter queue as a remote queue or alias queue.
It however the channel stopped when I used a dead letter queue as a Model queue.

Preparing for my 296 , so trying out some uncommon stuff!!

If it is a non-local queue, you can run into all sorts of gotchas on finding lost messages. It might allow it, but I'd definitely keep it local. Besides, if you need to do something with a message on it, it will probably be done on the queue manager that tried to put it on the dead letter queue.

Good luck with 296.
