This is on Unix (HP) running MQWF V3.4.0.5.

We want to define multiple systems within the group, and the question was raised, that since these systems are on separate physical machines, can both systems specify the same config-id.

In the past I have never done that, I have always used different configuration IDs.

I dont know if it is any different for Unix but on windows I had all systems with the same configID.

I beleive we can use the same ConfigId on UNIX as well.

Are you guys saying you are using multiple systems with same config ID in the same System group..?

Yes, as long as the systems are on different physical systems, I dont think configID should matter.

I defined more than two web clients pointing to one WF server and all the web clients (from different machines) have the same config ID and same as the workflow server
Maybe this doesn't matter for what you are trying to do.

I do NOT see a technical limitation from the product's perspective based on the described scenario. I believe this should work just fine.
