Hi,
I try to install WMq CSD07 for WMQ5.3 on Solaris 2.8 but I had the following error:
root@man# pkgadd -d ./mqm-U496731.img
The following packages are available:
1 gsk6bas Certificate and SSL Base Runtime (gsk6bas)
(sparc) 6.0.5.41
2 mqm-upd07 WebSphere MQ for Sun Solaris 2 - U496731
(sparc) 5.3.0
Select package(s) you wish to process (or 'all' to process
all packages). (default: all) [?,??,q]:
Processing package instance <mqm-upd07> from </mqm-U496731.img>
WebSphere MQ for Sun Solaris 2 - U496731
(sparc) 5.3.0

## Executing checkinstall script.
ERROR: Failed to clean System V IPC Resources
Please run "/opt/mqm/bin/amqiclen -x" as a root user
before installing this ptf.
checkinstall script suspends
Installation of <mqm-upd07> was suspended (administration).
No changes were made to the system.
There is 1 more package to be installed.
Do you want to continue with installation [y,n,?]
I have run "/opt/mqm/bin/amqiclen -x but more mqm semaphoren were activ
After we kill them with ipcsrm and restart pkgadd the result was the same ! we reboot the maschine without starting WMQ and the result was the same !
If I check the return code from "/opt/mqm/bin/amqiclen -x the result is 1
but all semaphore are cleaned !!
What is the Problem or how can I have return code 0 for "/opt/mqm/bin/amqiclen -x ?

Try adding a -v ( verbose ) to the amqiclen command, that may give you
more information. _________________ Philip Morten
