See if it exists in the directory: /opt/mqm/bin. If so, then either execute mqver from there or add the directory to your library path.

Apparently the swlist | grep -i mq command isn't providing you with the CSD, regardless you should still be able to determine the current CSD level through the memo.ptf file:

Excerpt from memo.ptf file:
Quote:
PTF Memo for: IBM WebSphere MQ for HP-UX Version 5.3
Service Level 5.3.0.6 (Fix Pack CSD06)
----------------------------------------------------

This memo.ptf file contains information you need for updating IBM
WebSphere MQ for HP-UX V5.3 (server and/or client), as well as a
summary of the contents of the latest fix pack and any earlier fix
packs.

This is the fifth fix pack, corresponding to PTFs U489864 and
U489997, and it is numbered 06. It will bring your WebSphere MQ for
HP-UX Version 5.3 installation up to service level 5.3.0.6 (PTFs
U489864 and U489997 - fix pack CSD06).

As stated previously in this posting: /opt/mqm/READMES/en_US/memo.ptf.

If it's not located in that directory, search for it.
