I am new to V5. I saw a diagram in the deploy message flow help which shows message flow and message set project under a server project.
server project
|
+ -- message flow project
|
+--- message set project
which make me think that the message set project and the message flow project should appear as sub folders under the server project folder.
However , when I look at the broker application development view I saw
my_msgset_project
my_msgflow_project
my_server_project
Am I seeing the right thing ? Did I do anything wrong ?
You saw right, if you look in the development perspective you see the .msgflows under their respective message flow projects and their associated .esql files too if relevant and all the other file types for message sets etc.
I think the perspective you are describing is the Broker administration perspective and here you do not see the .esql and those type files but you still the .msgflow files and the higher level parent files like the message set and such. This perspective tries to summarise and group the different types to make the deployment easier instead of you having to view irrelevant deploy files. These groups as you say consist of Domain connection, Broker Archives, Message flows and Message Sets. When you set up your first connection it asked you which folder it was to be put in the default is Servers I believe. If you expand the Domain and Archive folders you will see that there is this folder called whatever you named it and that the objects underneath them reside iand point to the same place i.e your config manager connections and your broker archive all reside in the same folder, if you change the name in say Domain Connections it also changes the Broker Archives subfolder to the same name. Hope this is not oo confusing an explanation.
