HI,

MY Application is a J2ee application deployed in Websphere.
I need to interface my application with SAP.
So I use mqseries,MQSI and an adapter to reach SAP.Everythign is working fine till now.I have used MQSERIES API to connect to MQSeries. Now the customer is questioning me as to ,why didn't I use MQseries for JMS,so that Websphere and MQserver could talk to each other. Why did I use a MQseries API ,and why am I connecting directly to MQseries.According to them, this is not reliable, and if there is any network issue or problem, the messgaes might get lost.CAn anyone please give me a strong valid point as to whcih one is better.
IT is very urgent
Thanks in advance
Shantha

JMS uses MQ Series API calls underneath it, so there's nothing "less reliable" about the standard API.

But, since JMS is part of the J2EE standard, and you were creating a J2EE application...

The plain MQ Java API is somewhat faster than JMS, performance wise.

But if your client told you to write a J2EE application, you don't have any strong points to prove your design...
