I'm new in MQ & MQ Worklfow. We have a setup of different MQ Managers (AIX, NT and OS/390) and MQWF (NT AIX). Is there a way to connect a MQM and MQWF, in such a way that if 'n message is placed on a Q in a MQM, it will create a work item in the MQWF?
What I read was that a message, in a certain XML format, could be placed in the EXEXMLINPUTQ on MQWF, that will create the work item. Should this XML message be placed on a remote Q, on a MQM, pointing to EXEXMLINPUTQ, to get it going? |

EXEXMLINPUTQ should be available in the cluster. You can put messages to this cluster queue from the client queue manager. The message you are putting will create and start a process in MQ Workflow. Depends on your process model when the flow reaches an activty which is manual it will create workitem _________________ -manoj |

This is not always true. There might be applications that are running under some QMGRs which are not part of a workflow cluster, that want to send XML messages.
