I upgraded MQ from v5.2 to 5.3 on Solaris 8 (as suggested from the MQ mannual). the process went fine but I cant bring Q Manager up. I got this message:

MQSeries Startup of Queue Manager DIMENSION.QMANAGER
Startinq Queue Manager
AMQ5522: A WebSphere MQ installable service component could not be initialized.
Startinq Command Server
AMQ8146: WebSphere MQ queue manager not available.

MQSeries Startup Commands Issued
=============================================
from the /var/mqm/qmgrs*/errors/*1.log, it shows

05/27/04 13:30:59
AMQ5511: Installable service component 'MQSeries.UNIX.auth.service' returned
'CompCode = 2, Reason = 2286'.

EXPLANATION:
The internal function, that adds a component to a service, called the component
initialization process. This process returned an error.
ACTION:
Check the component was installed correctly. If it was, and the component was supplied by IBM, then save the generated output files and contact your IBM support center. If the component was not supplied by IBM, save the generated output files and follow the support procedure for that component.

Please advise.
thanks.

Check for FDC files - I suspect you have one cut when this occurs. I can see a similar problem has been reported before and at least one customer found resolution by applying fixpack 6 for apar IY46627.

If you have an fdc file, past the header and call stack (not the trace history) in here...
