I have installed MQSeries on my Windos NT machine with default configuration settings.Today, I ran out of disk space on the machine and after much effort found that the errors folder has grown to 5.66 GB. Hence I have the following questions
1. Can I clear the errors folder which has TRC( Tracing files),FDC with file names AMQ###.
2. What made the files to be created in the first place? How to get over the problem??
Please let me know as soon as possible
Thanks |

1) The *.TRC files are from issuing strmqtrc command2
2) The *.FDC files are created by MQSeries when failures occur.
3) The AMQERRxx.LOG files are log files that contain MQSeries info.
You can delete Items 1 & 2, but do not delete the AMQERRxx.LOG Files

Thanks for the reply.I could get lots of space.
Why the trace file is created. Knowingly I have not asked specifically to create it.Is it a default option? if so, how can I stop MQSeries on my mcahine from creating trace logs? is there any way I can turn the option on/off??
Thanks |

The tracing is turned on by the commandline "strmqtrc" to stop it endmqtrc
