We've installed Websphere MQ 5.3 on HPUX 11.11 with CSD06 applied.

I can create a queue manager ok (in this case called "test") but when I try to start the queue manager using :

strmqm test

I get the following error:

AMQ8101: WebSphere MQ error (7E2) has occurred

and the following FDC file is created :

Does anyone have any ideas ?

This looks close:

http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21107862

but has more of a security flavor than your FDC above. However, it might be worth the read.

Try to start queue manager with user mqm.
Check if you have rlim_fd_cur=1024.

Hope this helps.
