Hi All,
I installed the following in my machine,
WBIMB 5.0 ( CSD 03 )
WMQ ( CSD 06 )
UDB DB2 ( FP 2 )
and the other pre requisites.
but when I was trying out the default configuration, I got the following Error in the Event viewer:
Please help me in configuring the WBIMB 5.0 Toolkit.
( ConfigMgr ) Unexpected exception in the Configuration Manager DBManager class constructor method;
exception text: 'java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2Driver', 'COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2Driver'.
While attempting a database operation on the configuration repository, an exception was caught by the Configuration
Manager DBManager class constructor method. The database operation did not complete successfully.
The exception text is: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2Driver, COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2Driver.
The exception text may indicate that the DB2 JDBC Driver could be found; check that the system CLASSPATH variable
contains access to the DB2 runtime classes. If the DB2 classes are present in the CLASSPATH or if the exception text
indicates a different problem,
Thanks in Advance,
Venky

So, what does the system CLASSPATH variable show? Does it list the DB2 classes? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Hey Jeff,
You are right, my Classpath is not configured to point to the DB2 classes.
once I set the classpath should I again turn on the default configuration wizzard or should I uninstall the whole set up and install them again.
Because when the Error occured, it gave a warning message saying that the since error occured in the middle of the configuration, the Configuration might be in inconsistent state.
pls suggest.
Thanks,
Venky

After updating your classpath, go through the defaul config wizard again. I doubt your database has the correct info at this point. Good luck! |

Hello All
Once I set the classpath I was able to start the Default configuration for the toolkit and the configuration went on successfully.
Thanks,
Venky
