Hi,
I have a requirement .I get data from external system in cobol copy book format. It has three records in it like A,B and C(which all 3 are compound types). In the header i will get the repeatcount saying how many records are going to come .
The problem is compound type C may or may not come.
my data looks something like this .
ABCABABCABCABAB .
repeatcount in the above case is 6 .
In case if 'C' is not coming parser is treating 'A' as C and processing .
Please share your thoughts . |

There should be an identifier for each of A,B,C.with out such identifier how come you say that particular C record is missing.
if you have group identifier for A B C you can model your requirement in MRM and can model C as Optional |

You cannot define an element as optionanl in CWF. Try to model your message in TDS format. _________________ Kiran
