Hi,
Does anybody know what is the maximum length of the message that a Trace node can output or is there a Max Length for the message that a trace node can output.
we have a huge message set (XML format) that we want to ouput using the trace node, but only a part of it is actually outputted.

Hi,
with mqsichangetrace you can set the maximum trace size, paramter -c
I have used up do 50000 (k) as max size, but only with usertrace
and a resulting trace file of about 30000 after mqsireadlog mqsiformatlog.
I do no know if this also works for direct traces to a file.
Greetings

I don't think mqsichangetrace will help if you are writing your Trace output to a File. I have tried printing large messages (about 1 MB) without any problem.
One point to note is that WMQI will try to parse the message (if it's not already parsed before) when you print ${Root} in the trace option. So you will end up getting partial data in the file if parsing error occurs. _________________ Kiran

I too have seen this where you only get part of a message in the trace node output (option set to user trace on trace node). Anyone know if any setting to get around that? I have not called that one into IBM yet, has anyone? _________________ Thanks!!!
