hello everybody,
I have installed WBIMB V5.0, and trying make the default configuration, and faced the following error...
BIP0865E. The plugin [com.ibm.etools.mft.admin.wizards.local] failed to complete the cofiguration task.
Reason:
An attempt to perform task [Starting broker [WBRK_BROKER]], resulted in an error.
For further details see the Application Log in the windows Event Viewer, and the plug-in Development Environment (PDE) Runtime error log at window menu
The environment I installed,
* WMQ 5.3 CSD 04
* DB2 UDB 8.1, FP 2
* Agent Controller 5.02
*WBIMB 5.0 CSD 03
any help is appreciable.
Thanks in advance,
-ramesh. |

why dont you create a broker on command prompt (mqsicreatebroker) and a configmgr(mqsicreateconfigmgr) then, if successful, run
mqsistart configmgr
mqsistart <<ur broker>>
see if this works... |

Was there further detail in the Event Viewer Application Log? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

hi!..thank u for the reply!!
one strange thing I found is.....when I try view the log in the Event Viewer, its throwing an error "Access Denied", (both applicaton Log, System Log)
though I have all rights for the user and I also checked the Local Security Policy and the user is part of OS.
and If I create mqsibroker in the command prompt it giving, user not authorized.
any more thoughts on this please.
Thanks in advance,
ramesh. |

The user running mqsicreatexxxx has to be a member of the Administrators group, if I recall correctly. Even if it doesn't, the service user that will be running the configmgr and broker does.
If you can't see the Event Log, you're not a member of the Administrators group, and so are out of luck until you can get the needed permissions. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
