We restarted ISERIES Server and tried to start the queue manager. it failed with error 6025, could not find program. the queue manager was working fine before.

I see error 6184 in error logs.

Thanks in advance...

What program was it looking for? Are there any FDC's or JOB's in qibm/userdata/mqm/errors?

Was the end of MQ normal? Are your journals intact?

I have seen the 6184 too many times but never the 6025.

Are you running MQ5.3? There was that new command after install CHGMQMCAP. Check that. make sure it's *YES.

OK.........Are you getting the same error? And new FDC's. Are you doing a STRMQM or do you have a startup program? if you have a startup program try just using the strmqm command to see if that works.

Did you see in the FDC's what program it is looking for? I guess that you are at the point of contacting IBM.........If you have checked the /qibm/userdata/mqm/errors and /qibm/userdata/mqm/{qmanager name}/errors. and are not able to see the problem program you may need their help. You could need a coldstart you may need a reinstall? Sorry I cant be of more help.

That used to happen in MQ 5.2 when using WRKMQMCHL but if you did a WRKMQM and took the option for channels it would work. Sometimes you also had to log off and back on to get it to work.

How did IBM get the queue manager back up? Did they give a reason?

Most of it was authentication issues, we had to change on QMQM library permissions, in this upgrade process of hardware some how authorities have changed on that library.
