We have a production issue . We have messages being exchanged between two MQ servers. The message some how seems to be corrupted, when it is received at the destination. the message at the destination contains some extra MQ Queue name of the destination queue manager.

We had sent some 100 msgs , the last message got corrupted, where as for the other 99 msgs it got processed succesfully.

Could any please provide help in this regard, its URGENT.

You'll have to be a lot more specific if you want real help.

What "extra MQ Queue Name"? Where in the message? What is the full contents of the MQMD of the affected message?

What systems/processes touched the message between the sender and receiver?

What does the sender code look like?

Hello jefflowrey,

Let us answer your question :

1) What "extra MQ Queue Name"? Where in the message? What is the full contents of the MQMD of the affected message?

The message is at the destination. extra queue names are , the original message is appended with the queues already existing on the destination(around 4 different queues which are not at all linked with the sender - receiver channel).

2) What systems/processes touched the message between the sender and receiver?

There are no system/process which touches the messages in b/w , its plain simple sender channel - receiver channel pair.

3) What does the sender code look like?

The send code is an FTP MQ application . this code has been working for almost 3 years now. all of a sudden from yesterday we are facing this problem.

Kindly let me know if u need any furhter information WRT this.
