Hi,

Can a workitem created in the middle of a process for a particular activity..

I mean in a process if there are three activities ..at activity 2 if some one wants to create a brand new workitem for that activity and it is required to go down the path..like activity 3 and so on or as designed..can it be done..

If so are there any API's to create workitem based on he designed In/Out container values and also activity..

Thanks in advance

Regards,
VikRam

I dont understand you post.

If you are asking whether you can add an activity the inflight process instance, it cant be done.

If you want Workitem generated for your Activity2 to be assigned to some other user you can transfer it.

Ratan,

Workitem is created at the start of the process.but if i want to create a brand new workitem which starts from activity 2 programmatically based on the in/out container values defined for that activity ..can it be done..

It is not a contact admin of the existing WI.

you can have activity B inside a Block and have the block fail the exit condition. This will regenerate the workitems for Activity B.

Ramgathy,
from ur posting, it looks like ur trying to a model which is not suitable for workflow or may be ur not modeling it right. pl refer to the best practices guide on what type of processes are good candidates for mqworkflow. if u have time, prod workflow book will be a better tool to understand the concept.
