I'm attempting to run the MQSeries c++ sample. MQSeries v.5.2.1 is running on this machine on Windows 2000. When I attempt "MQCONN "", gHcon, CompCode, Reason", it returns MQRC_Q_MGR_NAME_ERROR. Looking at my environment variables, the MQSeries default Queue Mgr environment variable is configured 'QM_jpn_pc_456'. Even when i pass the manager name the result is the same..... i really very new to this but have read all the manuals, reference guides... programming giudes.... and tried a whole lot,,,, i may be on the wrong side of the wall maybe.... i have had this problem this whole day. ... please let me know if u can help me

Thanks in advance....

MQ names are case sensitive, could this be your problem?

To make sure, you can issue the dspmq command to get the exact name of your queue manager.

If you are client connecting, is it possible that there are two qmgrs and you are connecting to the wrong one?

I double checked on the case sensitivity.... but . The dspmq command returns the parameter i specified..... even when i pass an empty null terminated string the result is the same
