Hi, I have set up a new channel between a queue manger located here and a queue manager in a branch office.
Every evening we stop the qm here (but not in the branch office) for a backup, after starting again this channel gets started explicitly. In the logs I can see that it has been started without problems at that time.
Although every morning when I come to work the channel is in Stopped state again. There is no entry in the log and no Channel Event occured that states that the channel has been stopped or ended unexpectly.
This is like magic to me! Does anybody have an idea what happens?
Because your DISCINT (disconnect interval) has expired.
whats your DISCINT attribute is set to.the default is 6000 seconds.after that the channel goes to inactive state.
I don't know if the channel has a problem with the partner. Actually it seems so! But when I start it manually it is running without any problem it gets inactivated and activated again and no problem occures.
The platform of my sender channel is Solaris (MQ5.3) the one of the receiver side AIX (MQ5.3).
The sender channel gets activated using the following command in runmqsc: start channel(C.ZZMQMD1.C004501A)
