Is it possible to access multiple databases from one broker. It's my understanding that when you create the broker, in the odbc.ini file you point to a database. Once that's created you can only connect to that db's or other db's on that same server. In the compute node you can change the datasource and table you are going to but that's it. You cannot goto another DB that is not referenced in your initial odbc configuration.
Does this differ on z/OS? _________________ MQSeries, MQSI |

So, add it.

So you are saying I can simply add the additional odbc entry to the odbc.ini file and wmqi will make an additional odbc connection to that db. This sounds specific to Distributed systems.
On the z/OS what is comperable to the odbc.ini file?
Our environment is: WMQI 2.1, z/OS broker, remote app DB2 database. _________________ MQSeries, MQSI |
