| MQSeries migration considerations |

We're engaging to a MQSeries migration service for a customer. Currently, the customer is using MQSeries V5.1 on Solaris, they have developed some C MQI applications. Now, they would like to migrate to V5.2.
Are there any migration considerations? Does the MQI existing applications run on V5.2 without modifying the code and re-compiling? Are there any MQ documents or manuals provide more info on the migration process?

Hello Wong,
As far as i understand you should be able to compile, build and run your apps built on V5.1, onto V5.2. The differences in different versions and releases are more related to the Product than the build process. Mq as any other software is equally compliant with all it's previous versions. Meaning any app built successfully on lower versions of Mq, Will surely be able to run on higher ones. You might want to take a look at the Readme's associated with V5.2 to see the changes in both, the product as well the build/link of applications, if any.
