If I specify a bad Q name for my reply to Q for ProcessTemlateCreateandStartInstance message on MainFrame, the WorkFlow is dieing immediately.

Just wondering the relation between these two.

Any inputs will be helpful.

What version and Service of workflow are you running. Because is SP4 the following is fixed and maybe your problem looks like this

18335 PQ69207 Execution server abend when reply queue name in MQMD of XML message is empty

Specifying a bad replytoqueue name will always bring your server down.
Being unable to put to a queue is considered as a fatal error and the server stops.
