In the compute node, I assigned a 24 MQBYTE24 value to the MQMD.GroupId property of the message.
On Adv tab of the MQOutputNode, I confirmed the MessageContext is "Pass Identity". ( I tried various options available later on ..without any success)
In the trace node after the compute node,I see the correct GroupId Hex value. But when I browse the message in the output queue, I see the GroupId as X'000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000'
Environment is : MQSI v2.1 (CSD#5), MQ 5.3, Sun Solaris,
Any solution ........?
Thanks in adv |

Try searching the forum. I seem to remember a bunch of posts discussing this. I also seem to remember that the outcome was that you couldn't generate Groups from WMQI.
Don't forget, the GroupID is NOT the only field you have to specify in order to group messages. You have to tell MQ that each one belongs to a Group. And you have to tell it which is the last one.

You are absolutely right Eddie. Thanks for reminding me.
I included the message flags info in the compute node and it works. |
