I have MQ 5.3.0 with CSD06 on windows 2000 server. I got error as below when I tried to start queue manqger.

Any suggestion?

AMQ7880: Error code 24 starting LPQM/Queue Manager WebSphere MQ service.

EXPLANATION:
The service was unable to start LPQM/Queue Manager. The error message reported
was as follows: AMQ8041: The queue manager cannot be restarted or deleted
because processes, that were previously connected, are still running. Process
488 is still running. Process 1592 is still running. AMQ7018: The queue manager
operation cannot be completed.
ACTION:
Use WebSphere MQ Services to investigate why the service could not begin. If
recovery for this service is active, MQ will attempt to recover.

Well coboy I don't usually work with MQ on Microsoft servers but the first thing I would try is stopping the processes (488 and 1592) the error output is complaining about then try again.

I don't know windows very well. I don't know how do I find process name in task manager by unsing PID. It is my question. It is pretty easy to kill a process given PID in unix .

Open the Task Manager. Go to the Process tab and click on PID to sort by PID to locate the name of the processes by matching it up with the PID. Once you find them you can hi-lite them by, you guessed it clicking on them one at a time and clicking the End Process button.

Or you can just reboot the silly thing.

If you dont see PID column in the Process tab in Task manager, you can add it by going to 'View' -> 'Select Column'
