Hi
All ,
i had the MSCS installed setup; i have installed IBM mq series on both the machines ; i have created Qmanager on both the sets of machine ; now i have to add that Qmanager on MSCS setup ; i have applyed mc74 patch from IBM; now when i move the Queue Manager logs to shared drive ;
after that QManager is not stating? what could be the possible resoans ? also beca. of that i could not start the Que manager under MSCS control;
can any one know the resons ? plz help me out in this; also is there any problems with the windows system user rights ? if yes plz let me know which rights needs to give to which user; what is correct pricitice for this ;

Which version of MQ? 5.3 already has MSCS support, so MC74 isnt required / will cause problems
5.2 required MSCS support, but if the qmgr doesnt start post-hamvmqm then check the registry (HKLM\Software\IBM\MQSeries\Configuration\QueueManager\QMName\...) that the log path is where the S*.LOG files currently exist, and the prefix point to where the qmgr data files are. Look for FDC files as they may point to the why the qmgr wont start. |

mine work has been done ; its problem with the havm utility problem which is not updating the path of log files; thax a lot; |

Make sure you stop the MQ Service before doing the hamvmqm utility, especially if you are doing a 5.2 install. At 5.3 there was a fix for this problem, not sure which fixpack it went into, but you can avoid the problem by ensuring anqmsrvn.exe is not running when you execute the hamvmqm utility (ie no MQ GUIs, taskbar icon or service running) |
