Several things to try...
1) Verify that the Queue Mgr port number (Default 1414) you setup WBRK_QM on is the same one you are trying to connect Broker toolkit to. |
Yes. This has been done. The only QM on the system is the one the Toolkit creates and it is running on port 1414. I've seen no errors when starting and stopping the QM.

2) Ensure that MQSeries, and Config Mgr are both started. Config Mgr service is set to manual on install so will not start at reboot until set to Automatic. |
I saw that on an earlier post and made the appropriate change. MQSeries and the ConfigMgr are running in what seems to be an error-free state.

3) Ensure the account you are using is in MQM local group. You will have to reboot to make group change effective. |
That has been verified also.

4) User MQSeries First Steps and exercise the API to ensure you can open the QM yourself. |
Do you mean use that "Postcard" application? I've used that successfully on the QM and have not had any problems.
Any other thoughts? I appreciate the suggestions. |

Is your Broker on a different Queue Manager to your Config Manager? If so do you have Channels setup between them and are they running? |

I'm only trying to run the default, automated setup routine that creates the Broker and the ConfigMgr and the QMgr. I can only assume that it is creating each component properly and linking/associating them properly with all the necessary channels, etc. |

I will add to the list jkuehn had suggested..
1) Whether the WBRK_QM is the default QM on your WMQ??
2) If not, then you may check, after you have started WMQ service; that WBRK_QM is started along with its listener.
3) Which platform are you using?
3) If its windows2000, have you checked the MDAC component version?? To cut it short, check all the software prerequisites..
4) Correct Order to install DB2,WMQ and WBIMB is:
Install DB2v8.1 (I've used DB2 Enterprise Server Edition +FixPack 4)
Install WMQv5.3(I have used CSD05)
Install WBIMBv5 (I have used CSD02)
5) Check for the security options, too after installation _________________ Vivek

Yes, I validated that before the previous install. I will check it again during this re-install that I am about to perform.

When I try to install CSD 02 for WBIMB, it starts command prompt with 'Preparing JVM .........................' kinda messages. When the installer wizard appears and I click on 'Next' button, it gives me some error with 'java.lang.NullPointerException' for AWTToolkit that is used for this Wizard...
I guess, there's problem here.. that the Wizard itself cannot identify the JVM to use.. Does anybody here have an idea which jdk version is required?
When I proceed with the error in the Wizard, it gives me '0kb' will be installed..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So even if the Wizard shows all 'Insatlling..' ; 'Creating uninstaller..' stufff, in reality nothing is getting installed.!!
I had to format my machine.... But dont know whether it will work or not.... _________________ Vivek
