this is a weird problem which happens to us quiet often. Sometimes we notice that our sender channel is down and messages keep accumulating on the transmission queue. When we try starting the channel it would'nt come up and says that "attempt to open the queue transmissionqueueName failed" the only way we could recover was to restart the queue manager and delete messages from it. Is there an other elegant solution to this? thanks

I'm sure there's another solution.

But in order to tell you what it is, you'll have to provide a lot more information about the error.

Like why does the channel stop, what error messages are logged on both sides of the channel, and what is logged when you try to start the channel.

Jeff, I see an error in my log files saying that "make sure the transmission queue <tqName> is defined" thats all i see in the logs. I do not see any other errors for this. This is weird since there is no way for me to start the channel unless I delete the messages from the transmission queue. Please let me know if anyone faced a similar problem.
