Upon attempting the web client config using fmczutil, I was able to have the web client's queue manager (on Solaris) registered to a MQ cluster on the workflow server (Win NT). I tested the communication and everything works. However, the web client was installed on a previous installation. Is it possible to change a properties file to redirect the web client to the QM on Solaris?

If I understand you right, what you are saying is you will delete the configuration of the web client and keep the QMGR on Solaris, then install the latest workflow and recreate the configuration, and ask the web client to use the existing QMGR.
If this is what you are trying to do then it will work.

If not then you have to explain a little more on what you are trying to do.

I thought that I could simply change some configuration file that the Web Client accesses during run time then point to an existing QM. If it is this simple, then I'll do this. Otherwise, as you mentioned, I could..

    1) Delete the web client config
    2) Install latest workflow (by this, do you mean import the FDL?)
    3) Recreate the web client config using the existing QM info

While using fmczutil, does this mean I can skip the part related to creating a QM and registering it to a cluster?

I am confused on what you are trying to do. But,

I think you can do this too. (I haven't done this but I think it will definitely work. I have done this for admin utility but not for web client, so I am assuming it'll work for web client also).
All you have to do is change the connect names in the client settings menu, and give whatever QMGR you want your web client to connect to.

I was thinking that you have some older version of MQ like 332 and now you are moving to 3.4. Also I am kind of confused on what lives on what box (NT Solaris etc).
