Hi,
I can connect a Message Driven Bean deployed on an application server to a foreign JMS provider like Websphere MQ using a bindings connection mode.

1.Is it possible to connect from MDB to MQ using tcp/ip connection mode?

2.What are basic authentication/identification mechanisms can I have at both ends i.e at MDB & MQ so that only authorized can connect?

3.Can I have some hand shaking mechanism so that both ends authorize each other?

Yes, this is what is client connection.

I am not sure about the MDB side but from MQ side, you can set authorizations so that only authorized can connect.

Though I have never tried this but maybe you can use SSL.
