I'm sure you would do the same for me.

John:
Never so far but I would love to see that day.

Dragonfist:
Did you check your scheduling server and the settings for check intervals.

Also, are you saying that your activity expires if you don't have a default data connector and doesn't if you have the defalt connector.
This shouldn't be the case

Did you restart the scheduling server after you have changed the settings.
After you have changed the settings in the buildtime for the scheduling server and once you import it into runtime, restart the scheduling server, using fmcautil utility.
It could be one of the problem, just check it out. I had same problem before and everything worked fine after i restarted the server.
And also as vennela said it could be scehduling server interval timings.

Hi venny
I set my scheduling server check intervals to every 30 secs as I dont want to wait for long hours for testing purposes.. and I set my process exits for 1 min for testing whether the flow is going right or not... Jmac I will send the fdl to you.. it will have some other processes and some junk too... I will explain it in email..

thx guys

Looks like
the problem is solved. venny the default dataconnector stuff is working fine. It is populating the output container with input container values for activity a1. May be I wasnt doing it right. Also i restarted the scheduling server everytime i imported the FDL into runtime as MQRR suggested. It indeed made a difference. Also I will check it more tomorrow and post it if I run into any problems. Thank you guys for all the support.

Hello all
the processes r running fine expect the expiration stuff. I set the expiration time to 1m and set my scheduling server time interval to 30 secs.. but when time expires its not moving the activity to the next activity... But When I shut the scheduling server and restart it then the activity is moving.. does it have to do with the notification check interval feild under the server specifics tab. Mine is set for 1H interval. may be it could be the reason.. let me check and post it back..

Notification Check interval of 1 hour means your Scheduling server only checks for Expirations every hour. You need to wait for 1 hour to see if the expirations occur. I would suggest setting this to 5 minutes.

it is working fine now.. i set the notification time interval to 1 min, and restarted the scheduling server... but when i looked thru the admin utility it is still showing 1Hr notification time interval for it.But it is spitting out the messages to the adminutility saying the time expired and the activtiy has moved every minute. So it is working now... its not a problem for me anymore.. thx for all the support..

My ConfigID is FMCCT... and I wasnt using it while connecting thru the admin utility. There is only one config id on my system. So I thought it wouldnt matter. But When I restarted the admin utility specifying the configId and requested the info for scheduling server it showed the notification time inerval as T1M. Thanx John.

There is a known bug with 2 character config ids in which the Notification Check interval seems to be stuck at 1 hour no matter what you change it to. APAR IY53035
