Where can I get some stats on performing a MQCMIT? What is the cost of when I issue one?

I'd suggest looking at the performance SupportPacs:

http://www-306.ibm.com/software/integration/support/supportpacs/

They are category 2. However, I would guess that the answer is going to be it depends. Are you dealing with a single message in every commit? Are you bunching messages together and then commiting? One of the SupportPacs should have something.

In addition the message size, whether you have circular or linear logs, whether you have to allocate secondaries, and whether those logs are on the same partition as the queue files affect the commit performance.
