Hi,
I am running WMQ 5.3 (CSD05), WMQI 2.1 (CSD03) on windows XP. I am trying to debug a java custom node however when I set the broker service to logon as a system account and interact with the broker - ie. so I can see my System.out.... statements I am getting the error (Error in event log... ReportEvent() failed).
This is occurring regardless of there being any message flows deployed to the execution group.
Has anyone seen this before?
Thanks,
Pete |

Are there any errors into Event viewer regarind this problem? IS your log-on user-id part of Administration group and all mq* groups on this machine? _________________ Kiran

Thanks for the reply.
1) No there are not any messages in the event log
2) Yes my user is a local administrator and member of mq* groups.
Thanks again, any further ideas?

To follow up on this topic...
I rebuilt my environment - reinstall of WMQ and WMQI, this seemed to do the trick and I no longer see the messages.
However... they have now come back again.
I am running WMQ5.3 CSD06 and WMQI2.1 CSD06 on Windows XP.
If anyone has seen this before or has any ideas of a possible fix please let me know,
Regards,
Pete |

A possible cause is the windows event logs filling up. Open event viewer, change the properties of each event log to 'Overwrite events as needed'. |

Jonathan,
Thanks very much, that seems to have worked.
