Hi,
I have imported an XSD to create a message set. The DATETIME field on the source side has the format mm/dd/yy hh:mm. This field is mapped to destination field having format CCYY-MM-DDTHH:MM:SS.
This works fine. But this unfortunately also works for an invalid date like 14/32/04. The broker calculates the date and adds it to get a valid date.
What is the solution? Is there a way to set a constraint so that an exception is thrown for an invalid date?
If you are v5.0 then there is a solution...
In your messageset level properties for the physical format you are using there is a checkbox entitled "Strict Datetime Checking" when ticked this will ensure out of bounds datetime fields will cause an exception.
If however you are using v2.1 then this function is not available to you.
