Can you alter the queue manager definition while the queue manager is running? In particular, the default transmission queue attribute.

Yes you can.
If some app has the old XMIT queue open though, you have to use the force option which will cause the app to get a error saying the object was changed on them. _________________ Peter Potkay

If the qmgr wasnt running you couldnt alter the default xmitq, I believe the queue manager doesnt need a restart for that attribute. _________________ Jeff
