Can you post the command you used to create the configuration manager here? Also, can you answer these,
1) What user-id did you login as when you created the config mgr?
2) IS your control center installed on the same machine as your Configuration manager?
3) Does the configuration manager starts up ok? Do you see any errors in the Event viewer?
4) Can you put/get messages from any queue on this queue manager QM_giridhar?
5) Did you find any error logged in the queue manager logs? _________________ Kiran

Have you added the user "giridhar" in the MCA list ,if you have added and it is still not working,Add that user in all groups belongs to Mqseries and wmqi like mqm, mqbrdevt etc!!
Try this one!! |

From your post it seems giridhar is your service user-id. When specifying this user-id you mentioned NETSPEC\giridhar, which means NETSPEC is your domain name. IS it correct? If this user-id is local then you must specify -i giridhar in your mqsicreatconfigmgr command. This user-id must be a part of Administration group on this local box. Also make sure it belongs to all mqb* groups. It need not be a part of mqm group.
Is your configuration manager service started by NETSPEC\giridhar user?
If you want to give access to the domain user-id's for this config mgr then you can think of using -d option when creating config mgr.
When opening your control center, you have to enter following values:
hostname: Your machine name or IP address
Port: lister port number of your queue manager.
Queue manager: queue manager name, _________________ Kiran

hi kiran,
i finally solved this problem.I tried the same setup on another XP system and its working fine. Thanks for the coninuous support from Your end.
i have a WMQSever5.3(client1) -->clusterServer(WMQ5.3)-->WMQ5.3(client2)..My applications using server-server communication and i want to have request-reply type of application.
In the CLUSTER SERVER(WMQ5.3) ,I HAVE A DEFAULT_CLUSTER AND 2 QMGERS(SIMPLESETUP)..AT CLIENT1 I HAVE A QM AND 2 Q'S AND AT CLIENT2 HAS 1 QM AND A QUEUE..
i want to send a XML Message from Client1 to Client2.and get the response back.
I am thinking of adding Client QMGRs to the Default_Cluster using the
MQExplorer Join cluster option...
i am little bit confused of the WBIBroker2.1 setup...Where can i put my XML Messages and how can it moves to the Client2 Queue .?Do i need to create any Remote definition of the Input Queue(message flow) in my Client QMGR.?? i have allready gone through Cluster Pdf ..but confused of reading ,since i have not seen any practical senario...how it works..
please help...
regards
maruthi. |

maruthi,
no offense but the more I read your posts the less I get the impression you know what you are doing.
Please tell me I am wrong, did you follow any courses, do you have any co-workers near you that can help you?
MQ and MQSI is not 'flip in CD, install and run' software. (as you have already found out!)
